Whilst exploring the wonderful world of camellia sinensis, it became apparent that its vast variety is attributable to the concepts of terroir, cultivars, layered processing and unique sourcing. Celebration of production and nuanced taste is not necessarily reflected in the world of herbal infusions.
Nazani Tea was founded to adopt the same approach and meticulousness for tea to herbal infusions. The brand is based on three principles – luxury, integrity and elegance (deliciae, integritas, elegantiam). Luxury is inherent in the rarity of the products supplied due to production methods, availability and growth area, providing a snapshot of where it was grown. Elegance is inherent in taking what would otherwise be a simple leaf or flower, treating it as a unique and special creation of nature, warming the heart and indulging the palette when infused.
Integrity is based on pillars of honesty, transparency and consistency. We know and love our Nazani Tea Family, from the farmers, foragers, to our ethnobotanist, and are working together with them to show you the loving steps taken to bring you your favourite infusion. Our infusions and tisanes are finite and will never be substituted – they will be ready when nature allows.
Nazani Tea is working to resurrect ancient herbal tisanes and is also focused on bringing exciting new concepts to the market and making tea history (including the introduction of a new type of mint, colour changing infusions and the UK's first order-to-harvest service).
All our herbal infusions are chemical, pesticide, herbicide, artificial fertiliser, hormone, and flavouring oil free.
Our herbal infusions are all ethically and sustainably sourced, not just in terms of the actual herbs grown, but also the economic benefits for foragers and farming families, in addition to culture grounded in thousands of years of history and tradition.
We support the ecosystem by promoting the values of honesty, transparency and consistency to deliver the purest and most nourishing herbal infusions.
Loose leaf only, you will not find any tea bags at Nazani Tea, and therefore no microplastics (plant cellulose or otherwise) and no epichlorohydrin (chlorine).
Our caddies can be recycled infinitely.
Dr.Armen our Ethnobotanist has PhD on “Armenian Agri and Food Culture” and second PhD on food technology, titled “Herbal tea production technology and wellness drinks”.
His main focus is on rediscovering and introducing forgotten knowledge of authentic herbs and bringing to the world an awareness of these unique herbal infusions and their traditions. He has since been producing exceptional wild-crafted herbal infusions by using ancient techniques, which include harvesting according to the moon and sun phases, drying naturally and processing by hand. He actively encourages good harvesting and production practises which are in line with both organic and Fair Wild standards.
Dr. Armen is a recognised herbal infusion master and is considered one of the leading experts on authentic herbal ingredients and spices. He works with wild herb harvesters, to promote a more holistic and health and wellness orientated lifestyle. Every herbal has a unique taste, which reflects its origin, quality and biological sustainability.
Herbal infusions are just as much dependent on the land where they grow - the climate, altitude, water, soil type - as any other leaf, flower or berry for infusion. Your herbal infusion journey should never be limited to the usual.

Caffeine - all our herbal infusions are caffeine-free. Caffeine artificially stimulates and dehydrates the body, unbalancing the guest;
Chemicals – our partnering growers and ethnobotanist do not believe in treating their herbs with any pesticides, herbicides, and in some cases even fertilisers;
Flavouring – our herbal infusions do not have any added flavourings (artificial or natural);
Fumigation – we do not believe in fumigation as the process destroys the aroma and flavour, and could cover the herb in carcinogenic soot;
Lactose – there is no need for any dairy or dairy substitutes with any of our infusions (they are compatible with the vegan and vegetarian diet);
Oils – no oils are added (natural or synthetic); and
Sugars – our infusions have no added sugars or sweeteners, any sweet or honey tasting notes experienced come directly from the herbs themselves.
