Femininity

We have designed a limited blend specifically for the menstruation phase of the menstrual cycle. Yarrow and agnus castus have traditionally been used to regulate hormones, which in turn relieve heavy bleeding and cramps, whilst chamomile relaxes the muscles associated with menstrual cramps. Our yarrow and agnus castus leaf is from Cyherbia, Cyprus, and our chamomile is comb picked from Naxos, Greece. Floral, herbaceous with hemp-esque notes.

Delivery time 1 - 5 working days, after the day of despatch. Order before 12pm on a working day for same day despatch.

For international orders please send us your order and location through our Contact Form for a delivery quote and to process payment.

We have designed a limited blend specifically for the menstruation phase of the menstrual cycle, using chamomile, yarrow and agnus castus leaf. Throughout the ages chamomile has been used by physicians and herbalists for feminine health, in fact the botanical name of the most widely cultivated plant, Matricaria, is derived from the Latin word for womb. Chamomile has antispasmodic properties - i.e. it relaxes the muscles associated with menstrual cramps, so is the perfect homeopathic remedy.

Naturally grown amongst the olive trees across the Cycladic island of Naxos, Greece (co-sourced by our friends at Cycladi Farm). Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) has been used for thousands of years for its potential health benefits.

    Storage Guide

Please note the pouches are not airtight, and therefore once opened, your tisane should be transferred to an airtight caddy or storage jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours. We do not recommend glass, plastic and paper containers.

    Medical disclaimer

Any noted health benefits of our herbal infusions are from traditional medicine and should not be used to prevent or cure any disease. Consult a GP if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have any other health concerns.

Do not consume if allergic to ragweed, pregnant, on blood thinners, taking dopamine-related medications or Parkinson’s disease medications, the pill, fertility drugs, HRT or undergoing any other hormonal treatment.

  • Our chamomile is comb picked and dried by villagers using traditional methods during late spring. Warming and soothing, with a gentle floral sweetness, our chamomile flowers are lighter than standard chamomile due to the micro-climate of Naxos, altitude and purer growing conditions.

Our organic handpicked yarrow is from Cyherbia, in Avgorou, Cyprus, grown in fertile terra rossa soil, with no chemicals or pesticides.

  • Historically, agnus castus has been used in traditional medicine to treat hangovers, fevers and digestive issues, and was recognised to bring on menstruation and relieve cramps. At present, agnus castus is used in traditional medicine as an herbal remedy primarily for conditions of the female reproductive system which may stem from a luteal phase defect. This includes premenstrual syndrome (PMS), by treating hormone imbalances, namely acting on the pituitary gland to increase the luteinizing hormone, which in turn stimulates progesterone production, and also decreasing prolactin levels. Agnus castus is also important during menopause. Our organic handpicked agnus castus leaves are from Cyherbia, in Avgorou, Cyprus, grown in fertile terra rossa soil, with no chemicals or pesticides.

Its genus name, Achillea, refers to the Trojan warrior Achilles, in Greek mythology, as he used yarrow to treat the wounds of his soldiers during the siege of Troy, due to its purported wound healing benefits. As a result of the application of yarrow on the battlefields it became known as Herba Militaris (the military herb). Whilst Achilles has been credited largely for yarrow's discovery and use there is some evidence to suggest that it was used possibly as part of Neanderthal culture.
