In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, AIRE Ancient Baths is delighted to launch a new signature experience exclusive to their London location. The Royal Indulgence is inspired by the most iconic British ritual of all: a cup of tea.
Enjoy the myriad benefits of tea, discover an ancient wellness technique that can be traced back to Ancient Greece and savour the most delicious and unique teas and herbal infusions with an exclusive tea-tasting journey in their 18th Century Townhouse, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace – it’s a quintessentially British relaxing experience.
The Experience
Immerse yourself in an experience that showcases the many benefits of teas and herbal infusions. The experience begins with a full body exfoliation using a tool inspired by strigils - a curved blade found in Greek bathhouses to gently scrape away any debris from the skin. A body plane is used to perform sweeping movements across the skin to gently remove impurities and dead skin as well as stimulating lymphatic drainage for a smoother and more refined appearance. This is followed by a 45 minute full body massage with aromatic tea oil that helps to reduce muscle tension and relax your mind before entering your private bath for the Earl Grey tea soak.
Whilst you soak, stimulate your senses with a guided tasting of exceptional teas and herbal infusions all accompanied with bespoke chocolates designed to complement each tea perfectly.
Finally, you'll have access to the signature Ancient Thermal Baths, where you can take a tour at your own pace through baths at different temperatures (hot, cold, warm, ice): the Jets Bath, the Vaporium (Steam Room with aromatherapy), and the Flotarium (Salt Water Bath), in addition to the salt exfoliation area.

The full body massage is designed to gently reduce muscle tension and relax the mind. The aromatic oil used helps to calm any stress and tension.
The adaptogenic and holistic herbal infusions chosen for your tasting journey have been selected not only because of their flavour but also the health properties they hold from aiding digestion, reducing inflammation to antioxidant protection and relaxation.
Exfoliation is key to maintaining healthy and smooth skin. Lymphatic drainage helps the body’s natural detoxification process, reduces water retention, and stimulates circulation, invigorating the skin.
