Arabian Delight Cocktail

An exotic and powerful, yet simple alcoholic take on the Arabian Sunrise, bringing together traditional chai flavours from Asia (used in our selected spiced gin) with the honey-like sweetness of our ultra-rare wild Caucasian safflower, a popular Middle East flavour. This cocktail has been designed to look as beautiful as the sun rising over the Arabian Desert.

Recipe for 4 glasses

Ingredients

2g  Nazani Tea safflower

200ml Gunshot Gin by Gin Bothy (spiced with cinnamon, cloves and mixed spices)

200ml  Spring water

8  Cardamom pods

8  Cloves

4  Cinnamon sticks

Method

Place the safflower, into a teapot (with a strainer), cafetiere, or boiling pot.

Boil the water and pour into the teapot, cafetiere, or boiling pot.

Cover the teapot, cafetiere, or boiling pot and leave to infuse until cool. The infusion should cool down naturally and no ice must be added in the process.

To create your cocktail strain 50ml into a lowball whiskey tumbler and add 50ml of Gunshot Gin. Serve with ice and add cinnamon, cardamom pods and cloves to garnish.

May be served hot in which case allow the safflower to infuser for up to 10 minutes before straining and mix as above without ice.
